Thanksgiving weekend

I know it has been about a month since I have last updated my blog. I have been so busy with school that I don't always have time to take pictures of the kids or update this as often as I would like to. I just finished my first "block" of classes last week and know that I got an A in one class, and haven't gotten my grades back yet on my final for the other class. Yet no rest for the weary, I started my other "block" of classes this week, not having a break for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Here are some of the deserts that the girls and I made. The apple pie was completely from scratch and was a hit, there was none left at the end of the night. Even those who don't like apple pie had some and loved it!this is Erin and Lexi, getting ready for dinner

It is very rare lately that Kylie lets me take her picture, so I will take any chance possible to force a picture out of her!

Me and my best friend Jean. We had such a great Thanksgiving at her house. This is our tradition to come here when Scott is not home for the holidays. Jean is such a wonderful friend and she is like the sister I never had! Thank you Jean for letting us come and share Thanksgiving with your entire family!!

Another picture of my apple pie from scratch. It was so delicious! I can't wait to make another one for Christmas!

We are now just counting down the days (literally) to when Scott comes home. It's been a long year and it will be great to have him home next month!

Cheesy, little Rockstar! She is such a ham! This is what she wore trick or treating. She had a Cinderella outfit that she refused to put on. She wanted her microphone and boots.

Kylie was a pirate. She borrowed her best friends outfit. The Asian princess outfit we bought her was too big this year, so next year's costume is already bought! =)

Both girls had so much fun trick or treating. We went with Kylie's best friend Breanne, her older brother, his kids, and her grandmother. Lexi was adorable going up to the houses, she'd knock on the door, and would say, "TREAT!!" then would hold her pumpkin out and thank everyone when they would put treats in her bag.

Kylie loved being with her sister and held her hand the whole time and was such a wonderful big sister.


I know my pictures aren't in order, one day I'll learn how to arrange them after I post them!

This is a pumpkin that Alexis painted all by herself when we were at Koney's last week-end. She was so proud of herself, she loves this pumpkin!!
