Easter, Kylie's bday party, and Lynn's visit!

The past few weeks have been a lot of fun and very busy! We spent Easter with our next door neighbors, Koney and Les. Koney made the kids Easter Eggs to hunt and hid them around her yard. Alexis really enjoyed her first real egg hunt. She even followed Kylie around when she was looking for her eggs. It was so sweet for Koney and Les to invite us over for dinner as well as treats for Easter.

Alexis looked adorable in her cute little dress from her Auntie LaVonne, that she's finally big enough to wear.

We also this past week had a friend of mine, Lynn, from my school days come to visit me from Montana. She arrived last Tuesday and is staying until Thursday of this upcoming week. We have been having a great time catching up on old times and all the exciting things that we have missed out on in each other's lives over the past years. I took her to the Oakdale Cheese Factory on Friday and then to our property in Tuolumne. We enjoyed tasting all the different types of cheese and watching a video of how cheese is made. We got to feed the animals at the farm. Alexis was afraid of the goats, but liked the Llama that was there and feeding the coi fish. Lynn's boys, Brandon and Christian liked feeding the fish and running around our property. Tomorrow, we are going to go to the Jelly Belly Factory, so her boys can see how Jelly Beans are made then we're going to try to go to Travis AFB to see the plane museum, Lynn's husband, Robb is an airplane machanic so I thought they would really enjoy that.

This week-end, we finally got to have Kylie's birthday party. I took Kylie and her friends to the movies to watch the Hannah Montana movie. After the movie, we came home and had pizza and cake. Not only that, Koney made the kids homemade ice cream with ALL the toppings. She had mini jawbreakers, gummy bears, sprinkles, m&m's, and chocolate sauce. So much yummy goodness. The kids were on a sugar high all day, they loved it! They had a great time playing together all day, up until it was time to go to bed!!

Today, was so hot that we turned on the sprinklers for a few minutes and let the kids play in the grass. I don't think they even came inside until it was time for dinner, they love being out back and playing in the Barbie Jeep, riding the scooters, and playing on the jungle gym out back. It's been a great, busy week.
