Since school got out at the beginning of the month, we've been busy going here and there and everywhere! We started our vacation by heading off to Nevada to visit Linda and Richard. The kids had a great time seeing their grandparents, and I enjoyed several much needed naps! Alexis made sure she got all the Grandpa time in she could. He would come home from working a full day in Reno, take off his shoes to relax, then she would bring them back, make him put them on and force him to take her on a walk. After a few days of the girls making sure the grandparents were good and worn out..... we headed home.
The girls have been playing with our next door neighbors Grandkids and having a great time. So when we aren't out driving to visit people, the girls are occupied with outside fun! Chalk drawn roads, cities, stores!
We also made a trip to my friend Heather's who was getting ready to move from Citrus Heights, to Georgia. We wanted the kids to enjoy the time they had left together and took a picnic lunch to the park near her house. We're really going to miss Heather,Ella, and Max, can't wait for them to come back and visit!!
After just a couple days home, it was off to Napa for lunch with some childhood friends that I haven't seen in what seems like forever! We had a great time catching up and just reviving our friendships. Then it was off to Jean's house for the week-end. While in Napa, I decided to chop off my hair. I woke up a couple days before leaving and thought how sick I was of my hair so I had my girl cut it off. I love it and am so glad that I did it!!
Then I was off again! We went back to Citus Heights for Heather's daughters birthday party. The girls had a great time (despite the wind), playing at the park, eating pizza, and tinkerbell cupcakes. After the party we went BACK to Napa for a play that Jean's daughter Erin was performing in. It was a cute rendition of "Grease" that was done by all kids, (5-18) and they had only one week to learn the entire play. I was glad that I had gone back for it.
On the 24th we're going to a picnic in Fairfield with all of Scott's co-workers, I'm not quite ready to run in the softball game they do every year...... but the bbq sounds delish! And I know the girls will have a great time. They love going to the park!
Maybe before Scott gets home we'll have some time to just relax and not be going, going, going.
Your hair looks great! Sounds like you've been busy lately.. We've been too. I am WAY behind in posting on my blog so I will be adding my life here over the next few days.. Thinking of you! :)
